Seamless Summer Nutrition Program
With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. The Bleckley County School Nutrition Program provides free meals to children during the summer.
This summer, meals will be prepared and served at various county and community locations as well as various schools and churches. Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like the Bleckley County School Nutrition Program to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.
The Bleckley County Summer Meals Program will operate Monday through Friday, June 1st through July 24th with a holiday closing on Friday, July 3rd. Breakfast, lunch, or an evening meal (limited locations) may be served each day.
If you are interested in having meals provided for your summer program, summer activity or Vacation Bible School, please contact Kathy Peavy at 478-934-2821 or April Newby at 478-934-9094 for more information.
