BLECKLEY COUNTY FORESTRY ENDS SEASON WITH

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Bleckley County FFA Senior Forestry team ended its 2013 season winning a state championship for a second year in a row. The Junior team finished 3^rd in the state. The teams competed in 5 invitational field days prior to competing at region. The Senior team won the Pine Mountain, Appling County and Middle Georgia Field day and placed 2^nd in the Okefenokee Field Day. The Junior team won Perry, Pine Mountain & Middle Georgia Field day and placed 3^rd at the Okefenokee Field Day.

Mr. Brannon's Biology students learn about the structure of DNA molecules and how DNA makes proteins.

Using everyday classroom items  (books, paper and notebooks) students design DNA sequences.
