SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM

The Seamless Summer Nutrition Program is currently under operation locally by the Bleckley County School Nutrition Program. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. Meals are provided to children 18 years old and younger at no charge to the child and MUST BE EATEN AT THE SITE. No take outs allowed. Several site locations are listed below.

BCHS Boys' Track Team Makes History at State Meet

On Saturday, the BCHS boys' track team placed third in state Class AA competition, making this their best performance in school history! Carl Ellis Corley won the 3200 meter run and finished second in the 1600 meter. In addition, Austin Cook and Anuj Patel finished fifth and sixth respectively in the 800 meter run, Lequan Allen, Nykeem Farrow, Logan Pittman, and LaDerrick Vickers finished seventh in the 4X100, and Will Simmons finished second in pole vaulting. Congratulations to the entire track team and coaches on making school history!

Logan Pittman Named National Football Foundation Scholar/Citizen Athlete of the Year

Logan Pittman, a Senior at Bleckley County High School, was recently selected as the 2016 Scholar/Citizen Athlete of the Year by the Middle Georgia Chapter of the National Football Foundation. He will be recognized at an awards banquet on May 12 in Macon.  Logan is the son of Duane and Pebbles Pittman.

BCHS Athletes Sign to Continue Sports Careers at Next Level

Several Bleckley County athletes have recently signed letters of intent to continue their sports careers at the  college level.  On May 6th, Cody Evans, quarterback for the Royals, signed with Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. On May 10, Austin Cook and Anuj Patel both signed with Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, where they will be members of the cross country and track teams. Congratulations and good luck to these young men!
