Halloween is an exciting time for young children, but can also be dangerous if safety precautions aren’t taken. Officers from Cochran Police Department visited Bleckley County Pre-K on Thursday, Oct. 30 to talk to students about Halloween safety. Each class was visited by the officers and students had an opportunity to ask questions. Every student received a bag to use for trick-or-treating. Pre-K teachers followed-up with additional activities to reinforce what the officers taught. We appreciate the Cochran Police Department’s support and efforts in helping our students learn the importance of Halloween safety.
Mrs. Shirley Davis was recognized by the Board of Education at the October Meeting for her selection as Bleckley County's Bus Driver of the Year. Superintendent Dr. Charlotte Pipkin and Transportation Director Ernie Purser presented her with a framed certificate recognizing her selection. Mrs. Davis has transported students to and from school for nearly 40 years. Congratulations Mrs. Davis and Thank You for all you do to make our school a better place!
